Venice by Fredo

Venice was a bust for first time vistors here.
Mike and I been here several years ago and did managed to get to see most of the sight.
It rained very hard all day and windy.
Felt sorry for the first timer that they did not get a chance for the gondola.
We took a vaporetta to San Marco square.
There was supposed to be a guide there waiting for us.
It was rainy so hard and they changed the interary for us to go on our own after we visit Murano Glass Company.
Visit the San Marco Bascillca and walk over small bridges to the Bridge of Sighs.
This was the only day that it rained.
Most of us opt to go back early and some went to visit this on their off day. They took a train in.
We had lunch there a full one.
Then we left to come back to our hotel.
We did some shopping there and not for us.
Just hanging out and having a cup of espresso.
Could not wait to get my wet clothes off and dry.
We were soaked.
The vendor made out fine with the selling of these cheap raincoat as you seen Mike wearing one.
I opt not to.LOL.
Below are some pictures that I took.

Mike is there riding up front of the vaporetto on our way back to meet our bus. This is a boat ride in case your wondering what the word vaporetto means.
Then the rest of the afternoon was at our lesiure.

A couple that we met here and from the state of MA.

This is some of the group.
The front is Wil an 83 yrs artist from CA.
He was a very interesting sort.
I sort of kept an eye on him for him to be safe.

Venice never interested me as a place to visit. Too much water! Again, thanks for the "tour".

Venice has a lot of history there and great architect buildings.
The water does not bother me.Just wished that it could have been a better days.So much to see.

You were all having a ball and that is what is important...let it rain.

That is it.Having a great time and the rain does not spoiled it.
Part of the adventure.

Sorry about the weather but you seem to have enjoyed it all anyway. Your group looks really friendly.

No the weather did not bother me as much as some of the others.
The group was great and still hear from them.
Not sure how long this will last.
The novelty always wear out in a while.

Yes,it is very expensive. But sometime you may find this at a flea market.
Mostly paperweight. If I come across one will send it to you.
Let see how long that it will be when I find one.
