Joe Morello whose virtousity and command of odd time signatures made him an integral part of the Dave Bruebeck Quartet on famous recordings. "Take Five"one of the best and a collector item. "Blue Rondo La Turk" He is by all means one of the great drummer worldwide. Had to see him and Desomond along with Bruebeck. This was back in the fifties. Cause of death was not available at this time. He will be missed. He paved the way for the leader's experiments in unusual rhythms in the late fifties. He will be missed. Have to dig out my albums and listen more of this.
I will leave you with this.

Nobody, but nobody, could out drum Joe. This is the first I've heard of his death. Thanks.

Dave Brubeckl's quartet was quite famous in the 50's. I love the percussion sound.
