More Work Drama

Our dept manager was on vacation last week, came back yesterday. Instead of speaking to us she wrote a note about how disappointed she was in us, that she had 5 people tell her how we did nothing but stand around and gossip the whole time. As I work nights mostly, I never really work much with her anyway. I do my job. To imply we did nothing because she wasn't there is just not fair in my opinion. And to not speak to us, just leave a note is kind of immature in my opinion.
I went to one of the CSM's, those in charge of cashiers, and asked her if it would be possible to come back to being a cashier. Well first she got a big grin on her face and then said, too much drama over there? She told me to talk to the assistant manager in charge of the front end but that they always need cashiers, especially good ones. I am seriously considering going back to it. I talked to hubby and explained it might mean a pay cut and maybe cut in hours. But he agrees that the less drama aspect would be more beneficial. And if I tell the assistant manager to just give me as many hours as possible and that I can work the 2-11 shift might be a huge bonus to them.
I feel like me and another lady are being set up over in jewelry and I have no idea why. But I really do not need that kind of atmosphere. I know that I do my job and I do it well. Sure I have made a few mistakes but they have been small ones. I have discovered I am being blamed for someone else's mistakes though. I should not have to defend myself and this feels like high school stuff I am going through. Someone making another look bad to make themselves look good. Been there, done that, have the scars to prove it. lol
Hubby also suggested I put in applications to other stores in the area. It can't hurt, that's for sure.
