First of all, I am not going to work tonight. They have me scheduled for 6 until 11:30. Which would normally be ok. But my allergies are seriously kicking my butt and add to it this awful headache! So I will be relaxing, drinking lots of tea and maybe catching a nap!
Family updates - stepson, who used to be soldier son, is now living here full time with his fiance. I have to say I was really dreading this. The drama, the tension, worrying they would not be contributing. I have been mostly pleasantly surprised and do enjoy having them here. It feels more like a home the more people you have in it. lol Don't get me wrong, this has not been a drama free event. But anytime there are more adults in the house you are going to have some head butting.
my update - as cigarettes will soon require me to take out a loan to afford them, I am going to bite the bullet and quit. My doc gave me that prescription for chantix which I will be filling today. I think I have to be on it for two weeks before quitting. It's going to hard for me, I have such a mental addiction to smoking. So in order to combat that I thought I would step up the physical training aspect. I have not been going to class, there are many reasons behind it but the number one reason is because it was no longer fun. They made alot of changes and I don't agree with them. My buddy John also does not go anymore. He was close to becoming a black belt. Sooooo I am going to ask him if he will work out with me on my days off. He is still not working right now and going through some problems of his own. He was an excellant teacher in our class and very patient. John is the brother of Kota's babysitter Katie. My weight loss has been at a stand still since I have not been exercising. I have not gained any back though which is good! Who knows, I might even try jogging! For the most part I do not feel my age. Most of my peers complain of arthritis, chronic conditions and seem older than what they are. I still feel young and I love the feeling of working out! The power and strength I have now is probably the best condition I have been in! I will convince John to help me because he was always on me about quitting smoking. Now he can do his part to help me. I jokingly called him the torture instructor. He knew just how far he could push a person to do something. He helped me with the dreaded pushups too. When he found out how much I hated pushups he made it a requirement for us to do 20! Besides I need to lose about 20 more pounds to be ready for bikini season. LOL Hey if Valerie Bertinelli can wear one at 48, what's to stop me????
All in all, life has been good for us lately. I am enjoying family time. I make time for just me too. I grab my mp3 and retreat to the bedroom. Even if it is only a half hour, it helps to clear my mind and recharge. I still like my job, it's still fun to me for the most part. I have a regular customer who loves to come in and make me blush. And that isn't hard to do believe me! My other buddy Jake continues to open up about his life and family. Jake is also a brother to katie the babysitter. Jake was waiting for me outside at 11 last night to walk me to my car. He had checked with me earlier in the night to see when I was getting off. Even though it was pouring rain and miserable, he made sure I got to my car safely. I know hubby really appreciates that! Now I don't have to walk to my car with my cell phone in hand with the button ready to speed dial hubby.
I think I will go watch Twilight now. Can't tell you how many times I have seen it now. It's still my favorite. How can you not fall in love in Edward! I sound like a teenager now. *giggles*
