I have not been
blogging much lately. Not for lack of things to talk about. I have just
had this foggy feeling in my head. My seasonal allergies have kicked in
with a new twist this year. When I would go outside my skin would get
so itchy. I am sure the constant wind we have had contributes to that
alot. So now I am dedicated to taking my allergy medicine first thing
in the morning, it's the 24 hour kind. Other than the itchy, red eyes,
sneezing and runny nose I am doing quite well. LOL
When
I picked up kota today from the babysitter I had a few minutes until he
actually got there. So I was chatting with the family. The mom
commented to me how every family has a black sheep. She then said their
whole family is black sheep. LOL I found that rather funny and told her
I was the true black sheep of my family and it was no wonder I fit in
with all of them. They are all fiercely protective of each other and
anyone who causes harm to one of their members should run and hide as
soon as possible. They do not let outside influences affect their
relationships. This family continues to amaze me the more I learn about
all of them. My friendship with Jake, one of the son's, has become even
better. They had some trouble recently and people were talking about
them at work. I had to help Jake out and give him some guidance. I told
him to walk away. Don't even acknowledge what they have said. Jake has
given me a better look inside his family.And that in itself makes me
feel wonderful. As if I have been accepted as an honorary family
member. It seems this family is just what I needed, just when I needed
it most.
I
am actually getting to see hubby more now that the weather is warming
up. He is not working such long hours. It is so nice to sit down and
just talk with him after we both have worked all day. Of course much of
my talking is whining about my allergies and how tired it is making me.
Kota
came home the other day with a pin on his shirt declaring him an honor
roll student. My little guy continues to bring joy to our lives. His
number one rule when leaving the babysitter is to give Katie her hug.
Katie is a hugger and kota is too.
One of my favorite movies is on, Rambo, the first one. So I will catch all of you later.
