Well let's see. Kota is home again today. He is running a fever and congested. Now think about this. We have our first real snowfall today. A couple of inches at least. And I have a kid with a fever who asks every 5 minutes if he can go outside. Well I am either the world's best mom or the world's dumbest. I took him outside earlier for about 10 minutes. But he had to promise to come in and lay down when we were done. And he did, even took a little nap. I just could not deny him the snow, knowing it might switch over to rain tonight.
Janet if you are reading this, I am enjoying a cup of coffee with a scoop of chocolate milk mix in it. The best of both worlds. chocolate and coffee!
I did some spring cleaning today. Even though I love the snow, by the end of January I am usually dreaming of spring. I noticed something today. This house is perfect for me. There are so many storage places! In our old house we had no room, no storage. This house has closets, cabinets, shelves! I have organized my dining room and kitchen. I even found a place to store my many seasonal tablecloths. As I was cleaning this morning, Kota would come to me to show me the latest reading on the thermometer. Poor kid. At one point it was 100.1. He thought that was a good sign, but I had to break it to him that it went up a couple points.
Now that my kitchen, laundry area and living room are clean and organized, I believe my reward is to crochet the rest of the afternoon. Either that or throw sheep at people on facebook. (did you catch that one AJ?) I called out today from work to stay home with kota. I could have sent him to his grandparents but that just didn't seem fair to me. I am only part time at work and I got them through the holiday season. Oh, and I have off tomorrow too. This house will be so organized I will be shocked to be able to find things I am looking for. hehehehe
