Kota is staying home today. First of all, yesterday was his first good day and why throw him back into the germ invested school before he is fully recovered? And it's friday. His teacher called me yesterday to check on her little buddy. She was wondering if A. we were doing something fun rather than him being sick B. if he had the stomach virus or C. if he had the congestion cold. She was so nice. She said if he couldn't make it to school today we would just catch him up next week.
We went to the chinese buffet last night. Mainly because I was getting a little stir crazy being in the house all week. The buffet is right next to our tae kwon do class. We stopped in to let them know we had not dropped off the face of the earth and that we would be back soon. The owner's wife was happy to see us, although she works at Kota's school and gets to see him there.
I have been a cleaning maniac this week. Yesterday I cleaned the wood floors and started on the kitchen. I had not fully gotten the kitchen floor done from moving in here. But I needed special tools. Like a scrub brush to get the grime out of the tile. I also needed some simple green. If you have never used this stuff, get some! It's a miracle. I use it for everything. Besides really cleaning the evilest of dirt, it has a great smell.
Today is laundry day. Not only washing but actually putting away! I have always been horrible about putting away the clean clothes and we have all gotten used to living out of a clothes basket. LOL
To show you how obsessed I am with nascar, let me share my latest dream with you. The driver I root for, Tony Stewart, is starting his own team this year so I don't think he will be racing much. In my dream I was at Daytona with Tony. I told him I didn't know who to root for now. So he introduced me to Dale Earnhardt Jr. He said Jr. is a good guy and that I should switch my loyalties to him.
Only a couple more weeks until the start of nascar season!
