When
I was working Friday night my supervisor came up and said she heard she
was losing me. She commended me on my skills and willingness to always
pitch in and never complain. She also said she hated to lose me. On my
break I went to jewelry and told my friend that my supervisor must have
approved my department switch. She told me actually no, she and her
boss had to go over my supervisor's head. That made me feel really good!
We
had a lovely Easter over at my inlaws. They even had an easter egg hunt
not just for kota, but all of the adults as well. It was really alot of
fun! I had to go into work at 4 on Sunday. And for once it was quiet in
the store. So me and my fellow associates had alot of fun, picking on
each other and laughing. It was great to not be super busy and goof off
a little.
Yesterday
was my day off and me and kota went to visit my sister in law Karen.
She had drafted my stepson and his fiance into helping her with yard
work. We went over to see how they were doing and to visit with Pepper
the beagle. They were burning sticks from the yard and we all pitched
in to collect branches. Well.... last night Kota said his leg was
itchy. To me it looked like bug bites. I didn't have any bug lotion so
I put neosporin on it. This morning I got ready for work and got him up
so I could take him to the babysitters. I noticed his face looked kind
of puffy. And he said his arms were so itchy. I think he might have
poison ivy or poison oak. So I called out of work to keep an eye on him
today. I gave him a benedryl but I might have to run to the drug store
for some anti-itch lotion. I just want to make sure he doesn't have a
severe reaction to this poison whatever. Poor kid!I can remember when
all we had to use was good old calomine lotion. Now there are washes
you can use that will clear up the rash quickly. I think I will get one
of those for Kota.
So
that's the good, bad and itchy that's going on here. Also it's raining
again. April showers bring May flowers. What do May flowers bring?
