Mid Week Musings

The dentist was fun, if you enjoy pain and torture.    Not only did I loose my filling, but the gum where the tooth is has an abscess.   Lovely...*sighs*
So they had to root around for awhile...so...6 shots....and a root cleaning later, I was sent home with my credit card being $580.00 bucks lighter.
I was going back to work, but my jaw was killing me, my mouth was numb, and my head felt like it was going to explode.   So I took myself home.    Hubby thought it was cute that I couldn't talk....said he needed to get some of that stuff from the dentist so he could shut me up when he needed too.   If I hadn't felt so bad I would have bite him..LOL
After I got the feeling back I called my mom to see how she was doing.      She sounded like she had a cold, but she would never admit that to me.     She said her friend (one of the ladies she talks with everyday) down the hall passed away.    Which I know upset her....she said her son came down and asked her if she would sit with them in her room while they cleaned it out...so they wouldn't have to be alone...and she did.    Apparently he comes and plays bingo with them.    He gave mom her little fridge, and a few things of hers...said he wanted her to have them.     I thought that was really sweet of him.
I asked mom if Mr. T. had made any more surprise visits, and she said no....that he seems to be avoiding her.    I think that is a wise choice for him..LOL
My Sweetie is still experimental cooking...He may poison us all before it's over..LOL

I don't EVEN like to think about dentist.
My teeth got so bad, I was missing work
and staying in bed, so when I couldn't stand
it anymore, told the dentist to pull them all.
He ask, are your sure, I said yes. so he pulled
the last 10 I had. Thought I was going to die the
next day. SOOOO, been there, never going there again.

You need a better dentist. I just went for my crown which fell out and there was a cavity. The guy did it very quickly and with very, VERY little pain. I have Delta's best plan, but they only let a crown be redone every 5 years, so yeah... I had to pay $765... wait. You paid less. Well, I'd rather have less pain. Hope things with you are good now!

I can sympathize, my root canal took so long I thought he was mining for coal in there. If another tooth goes that bad I might just have it pulled instead -- at least, if it's a back tooth. It's not like I'm an eskimo and need to chew the bearskins until they're soft.

Hope your tooth feels better soon! I've never had a root canal, but heard, from my brother, how terrible they are. He said they hurt a lot! Anyway, here's to hoping that the pain goes away and your abcess heals quickly!

Hope you are recovering from your foray at the dentist. Ick. I'm sooooo sympathetic. You go in for one thing, and then they dig around and find other stuff, and then the bill takes a bite out of you!

ouchy ouchy ouchy! So sorry about the dentist pains!

you seem chipper though in spite of it which is wonderful! Sorry your mom lost a friend... she sounds funny though. I like her already!
