Bits & Pieces

It’s Friday…Can I get an Amen from the back pew please…

The cone of silence has lifted from my house.   A tentative truce was begun last night and there was actually talking going on, without eye rolls and shouting…so I guess that means we may actually still enjoy being under the same roof.     U don’t want to get too excited we still have to get thru the upcoming weekend with trying to strangle one another, but I think we're on a roll.

If you think about it, give my sweetie a little extra thought today.   He’s been down in the dumps over his job situation.   I think that’s been a big part of the problems lately.     He’s getting frustrated.

My mom is on a roll again.   I talked to her last night and she was in high spirits.    She and her roommate at the nursing home haven’t been getting along very well.  Apparently she liked to dig in mom’s things, gets stuck in the bathroom in her wheelchair (mom has to figure out a way to get her out), and hates the air conditioner.     So….she asked (clears throat demanded)…that she be moved and they did.    Mom is alone again…she said she likes it, but I figure in a few weeks she’ll tell me she wish she had some company.     I didn’t ask if Mr. T. had made any more surprise visits or not, she seemed annoyed at my uncles so I figured I’d not push any more buttons…LOL

Something happened in Amish country last night.  I worked late and coming home there was two ambulances and they were air lifting someone out.    The helicopter had landed in a large field by the store.    I didn’t stop…I didn’t want to be in the way.   I figure I’ll find out what happened this weekend when I go by the store.

We had a little excitement yesterday afternoon at work..(like this week hasn’t been exciting enough..*insert eye roll here*..) A young lady came in to work on her resume, she was very very very pregnant.   I asked when she was due and she says..”anytime”.     She worked on her resume for a little while and then I noticed she had disappeared.     She came back a few minutes later and said very casually…”I’m in labor I have to leave”……talk about making your heart race, I just about swallowed my tongue…LOL     We wished her luck and told her to bring the baby by so we see her… : )

I may have mentioned this before in a blog, but it’s still the summer of love at my house…I now have several stages of kittens to prove this….We have 4 who are about 4 months old, and 4..who are about 1 month old…the little ones are the cutest things.    They are all pretty wild, but one little particular one is trying to be very brave.   It’s white, with black on it’s tail.    Last night when I came in from work they were all in the carport and took off at a dead run when they saw me get out of the car…all except this little 2” high white kitten, who stuck up his back and frizzed all out, and was hoppin all over the place with is little back all arched and hissing.   I laughed so hard I almost cried.    He was trying to be really really brave… little fart…LOL   I wished I would have had my camera on me.

(He sorta looked like this little guy)

All is quiet at the moment….but I’m not saying that too loud…I’m afraid if I say it too loud..the crazy people gods will hear it and the chaos will begin…

Happy Friday everybody.. : )

WE found a litter of kittens in our garage (and have since found the "hole" the Mom got in from and repaired it, lol) We took them in the house to get them "people friendly" and adopted them out. I wish people wouldn't let their animals run stray.

There is absolutely nothing in this world as cute and sweet as a kitten. Foals and kittens are almost better than human new borns. Glad things are better.

Lordy, what a week you have had! Thank the good Lord that the workdays are over — and may your weekend be full of good things and some fun, too! Saying a pray for your hubby, and sending you and those cutie pie kittens some ((((HUGS))))!
