Sara came strolling in 3 hours late for dinner Friday night.
We kept pizza warm for her and then watched Lars and the Real Girl. It was incredibly funny and I was so glad that
Ms. Troutbend recommended it.
Sara got up about ten and prepared to leave after breakfast. She finally got away about l2:30. We received a
call from her l5 minutes later. Her car had broken down and
she was stranded. We went and got her, waited for Ellie to
come and get the girls and took her to Denton, Texas to judge a band concert today. Before we left, we asked
Adrienne to ride along with us so she and Sara could visit
since Adrienne worships her older cousin. Bobby and Ellie
wouldn't let her go which was a shame. Now we have Sara's
car in our driveway where we coaxed it before it gave it's
last gasping breath. Ted thinks it is dead but will probably
work on it all day anyway. He thinks that since it had an
oil leak that she probably drove it low on oil. We are
exhausted. Now we have to figure out how to get her back
to Tulsa. I don't think the car has a prayer of getting well. We delivered her to her friend Emily's house in Denton and the getting back arrangements depend on about l5
things happening. Oh to be young and heedless. On top
of everything else there was miles of construction and two lane highway.
One of Bobby's friends had a massive heart attack. These boys all went to high school together and they are facing
their first loss. They are all 50 now.
When the dust settles, I will be back.
