Yesterday was somewhat stressful. Luke, a big, blonde giant of a man was here laying travertine tiles in the bathroom, with his helper who was quiet and didn't seem to take up nearly as much space. My two youngest grandchildren were out of school and with me for the day also. Now the youngest is a pain. She sulks and pouts when she doesn't get her way and does her best to get her sister in hot water. She manipulates her parents but it doesn't work with us and it leads to some hilarious conclusions.
She got angry with us yesterday, threw a blanket over her head and sat in a corner. She said, "If anyone wants to talk to me they can just knock on the wall." Sobbing all the while.
We were cracking up so I started tickling her through the blanket. Rex joined in, poking her with his nose and she finally had to laugh. Rex is the most sympathetic dog person that I have ever known. He can't bear for anyone to cry and if Ted and I yell at each other, it destroys him and we have to laugh and make up. He is a wimp and only learned to growl recently. He hates for anyone to walk in the baseball field behind our house.
The evening news came on with the dreadful reaction to
the President's speech and I actually felt sorry for the
fools who wouldn't let their children watch it. They are so deluded. They are pouting like bad children because they
could not control the election. Rush Limbaugh is an ugly man with an ugly message. I fear for my country.
