I have recently read three long novels by Wally Lamb. They are unputdownable. "She's Come Undone", "I Know This Much
Is True", and "The Hour I First Believed". I liked the latter book the best but they are all wonderful. He improves with every word he writes. All these books have a
heavy psychological undertone. I got them from the library and to my knowledge they are the only works of fiction that he has had published.
Since they take upwards of nine years to complete, his out put is necessarily small. There are so many inane works of fiction out now that these books are a rare treat. I can't imagine the dedication it took to write these wonderful stories.
If you are a snob and think fiction is not worthwhile reading, read these books and I venture to say your opinion will change.
