Planting Fever

I probably got this way too soon and should have waited a while before planting tomatoes and squash but I did cover the tomatoes with glass jars to protect them. My birthday present from Ted is always plants which I pick out myself. Y esterday, I went to Lowe's and got purple and pink petunias and geraniums. I did not get enough and have to go back for ferns and more geraniums. I visualize the back porch as an oasis of ferns and blooming plants Unfortunately, it got colder than usual last night and I hope everything will be ok. I read this morning that another trumpster is in trouble for transporting a seventeen year old across state lines. Probably just following his idol's pet pursuits. Will someone please tell me how to space so that it comes out in paragraphs and not just a wad of words all jammed up together? I missed the instruction first time around. Be well and happy fellow friends.

It's winter all over again here. Three inches of snow tomorrow with a high in the upper 20s on Friday. We have all sorts of greenery popping up but it's way too soon to think about planting here. Sounds like your plants are close enough to the house to be protected. Can you put a sheet over them too?

I think my plants are fine. I started using Miracle grow yesterday and am hoping for good results.

Top left of the page (by My Bloggers), click on User Center. "Edit" your new post. Insert a carriage return or an extra space somewhere and then delete it. Save article.

Maybe you don't need to do the carriage return or space, but I do it out of caution.

It is early to plant but I am in a mess. The groundcover that I had, ajuga, died in our extreme cold. Now I have a big ugly mess in front of the house that needs sod. I have some different little ground cover that I can sparsely use there but it won't look nice this summer. The rosemary froze out but the sage is looking good. I lost my hydrangeas also. I have not seen any for sale so will have to make a second trip.
Last night we had a cold snap so we had to put all the plants in the garage and cover the tomatoes.
