We are trying to get the house up and running smoothly. The elderly lady who used to live here until she broke her hip really let a lot of little details like sufficient light bulbs and such go. I don't blame her a bit because it entailed the use of a ladder....not a good thing.

We have been almost driven mad by Lowes. It took 3 trips to get a door bell that actually works. Then, later in the day, I tried to order flooring from Lumber Liquidators only to be told the minimum wait time was six weeks because they didn''t have it and neither did their warehouse.

It all just makes me want to take a nap. It is 97 degrees today and if you want to go out, you must go in the morning. I have been walki ng Rex as soon as I have had my first cup of coffee. The little girls were going to the pool today but I declined the invitation. I am expecting triple digit heat in July and August.

I suppose everyone has seen the poor man with the face transplant. It will probably get better as time goes by. Here I am griping about trivial things when some people have horrendious problems. Nuff said.
