Normally, Ted and I get along very well but we simply cannot work together. I have been waiting for weeks to get the kitchen floor done. He is passive agressive and sulks and delays. Finally this morning I screamded, "If you don't get the effing kitchen floor done, I am going to burn down the house." It just further delayed the whole project so I will be doing a lot of reading. I will just have to leave him alone and tolerate the fridge in the dining room for weeks at a time. This is what happens when a first born aries marries a middle child aquarian. We have managed in 25 years to work through the fact that I do every thing in the morning and he doesn't hit his stride until after l2. Marriage does call for compromise.
Yesterday, Ellie and I went to an estate sale in crown Heights, a beautiful old section of Okcy. The house was lovely. It had a three room finished basement as well as an upstairs. I have always loved older homes. I picked up some P. D. James and Martha Grimes mystery books and a pot and some ram bookends. Ellie didn't find anything she wanted The furniture was mostly oriental and southwestern. I used to live in that area. All of the houses have a trunk room which is kind of strange. Ted has got the grand children collecting coins and if Ellie and I had known what was good we could have gotten them some sets.
Just trying to survive the kitchen floor...Jeri
