Getting Ready for the Holidays.

I have the twins cleaning up the backyard and they are doing a fantastic job but since they are seventeen I suspect they are going to break for lunch soon. I have been feeding them at intervals all morning. They are sooo strong and willing as well. They are also tech support for Ted and I. The holidays are sad for us because we all miss Bobby so much. We can laugh about the funny things he did now...We have a whirlpool spa like bathtub and he is the only one who ever used it. He, of course, would never clean it and that is why Ted and I don't use it, we don't want to do the serious cleaning it inspires. Housing is booming here and people are actually bidding the prices up past the asking price. My neighbor sold his in 3 days. His landscaping was excellent but I didn't like the house inside. we have to go and protest zoning almost once a month. all of us are old and we don't want apartments in here. They would congest traffic even more and flood our schools with no compensation from residential property tax. I think the city wants them for sales tax. We defeated it last time and I hope we will this attempt. Any way we are all working together. My daughter is so fearful that she won't be here for any of the festivities. She has an imuno supressed son who had a heart transplant when he was an infant. He is now in his thirties. I just realized that we don't need clothes this year because we did not go anywhere last year. I haven't even gotten to wear the white leather jacket that Ted gave me last March for my birthday. Hopefully in another year we will be out of the pandemic. I got my flu shot and the first Shingrex. I am so prone to have that virus that I once had a fever blister in my eye and was so miserable that I could hardly stand it. Jon's misery convinced me to schedule the two shots..I certainly hope he is feeling a lot better now.

Donna and I get our Moderna booster tomorrow! I already a shingles vax--the old one for sure and I might have already had the newer on. We did Christmas shopping early online. The suggestion was made more than once on Nightly News. I accidentally discovered what Donna got for me and I suspect that she has figured out from the shape of the box what I got for her. But aside from that, going out a lot was never a big deal so we aren't missing much. I heard that my favorite Chinese buffet is open so I want to go there at the earliest opportunity which is probably in two weeks. Donna doesn't want to dine inn, so I'll and possibly we will do takeout which is fine with me.

I have been shopping on line and I have about finished the Christmas shopping. I have also been buying Ted some new underwear that is extremely comfortable as well as sexy and a variety of other things. I got him seven pairs and I think he is supplied for awhile. I love online shopping.

I hope he is feeling better too. Sounded awful! I’m glad you got vaccinated. I hope the holidays go well for ya this year. You deserve to be happy.

My joy's are small but we have the birds and the stray cats to care for and grand children who are delightful, not to mention Sara's kids who are a hoot.
Sara taught the two year old to shake her booty and no one could see that without cracking up.
