Ted and I met my daughter, my grandaughter Sara and her two children at the Marriot in Stillwater so that we could
go to the school of fashion design's exhibition. Our Laura
was presenting her collection.
Ted and I started to the alumni building where the show
was to be presented and got lost. After getting two
terribly garbled instructions, we stopped a young couple
from India and they hopped in the car with us and took us
to the building. They were so sweet and helpful.
Once we arrived, it was magical. Lights and music and
lots of creativity. One girl got an award for using led
lights all over her creations. One wore a tomato cage
with puff balls all over it. Laura's collection was
wearable. She presented a gown and robe, a shorts set
with a cape like jacket, a bias cut evening gown that
reminded me of the thirties and a gorgeous white dress
with an full appliqued skirt.
We had a great get together afterward at our motel
and were able to eat breakfast together on Saturday
morning. Linda was unable to take pictures because
we couldn't get close to the runway. However, Laura's
boyfriend was doing a charity fund raiser on Saturday
and I will post some pictures of that.
