I am getting that holiday rush. The only bad thing is that our time is short since the cruise comes in mid December.
Ellie and I made a batch of fudge, caramel fudge and that white chocolate peppermint candy last evening. To think
Thanksgiving is less than a week away.

I want to mail the packages and Christmas cards early too.
The mail is always so heavy if you wait. My mother always said you should wait until December 22 to mail cards because if you mailed them before then it was like asking
for one in return. I have broken all of her other rules so won't obsess about this one.

I will be making candy for my daughter's family too and
taking Christmas dinner there. Linda is not a cook. She
has been too busy supporting her family.

I have drooled over Laura's recipes. My grandmother used to
slather butter all over the turkey and wrap it in cheesecloth
to bake it.

So glad that I can read blogs again. It was like being deprived of a necessary outlet.
