The sun refused to shine yesterday and all twemty six of us
were indoors. One thing I know for sure is that Rex is a
party animal. My nephew has an adorable toddler, Layla,
and Rex draped himself to her side the whole day. He licked the new baby in the face and enjoyed all the children to the
max. Everyone fell in love with him. He refused to go outside and graced us with his large presence the whole day.

The food was fabulous and so plentiful that everyone got a take home plate. We have some new candy recipes and I will post them later.

The nicest thing was that my daughter and Laura and Sara
got to be with us. Linda so seldom gets to go anywhere but shopping for Laura. I so wish that she lived closer. That is every mother's lament I suppose.

Bah! Humbug! to the Sun God. He has been absent so much
of late that Oklahoma feels more like Kansas or Colorado .
We have never had such a cold October. I miss the sunny autumn days.
