This is Stephy's new word for the day and it fits all of us
on mybloggers since we make idle observations about everything.
I enjoy her posts so much.

I have been very busy the last few days. Thursday's were spent rearranging furniture and then yesterday I had to be in Shawnee for a mammogram, blood work and a complete physical. I have not changed doctors because I have had the
same internist for twenty years and we are compatible. Everything is fine except for a little asthma and being out of shape. He did suggest using Advair twice a day and going to the y for water aerobics.

I love Shawnee. It is my favorite Oklahoma town. I would
have liked to have moved there but it is not quite close enough to the kids. There is very little traffic and I love the old, beautiful houses. Guthrie was our first Capitol city but Shawnee vied for the honor and had a stately Governors mansion already built when they lost their
bid. It is still there. It has been renovated inside except for the ball room on the third floor. Sadly, it is
not well kept on the outside and is privately owned. The
owners do as well as they can. Personally, I think they
should try to find a grant to help with maintenance. Old
houses are a money pit.

I didn't get home until one and then Ted sent me out to the
base for his errands so I was tired.

I walked the block for the heart association on Thursday and
was amazed at how little money I collected. Those who gave,
gave generously but there were lots of people who wouldn't
even give a dollar. I met an amazing black cat with golden eyes who met me at one door. His purr was deafening and I
would have loved to have him.
