Ted and I just got back from the hobby store. He has this passion for model airplanes that fly by remote control and is building two humoungous ones,

My needs were simple. I just wanted to outfit the girls with a scrapbook, organizer, glue, and markers. Adrienne is already acquiring honors and things she will want to save. I had to get Ashley the same things or there would have been terminal pouting.

It feels like spring today. It is such a relief from the terrible winter days. The plants seem to know it too. They are poking their little green shoots up. No matter how many springs I have, it is still wonderful to see them come each year. It reminds me of that haiku by an unkown
author that says:

Dead my hopes
and dry my dreaming
But oh Iris
Blue each Spring

My hopes and dreams aren't dead but I still welcome the Iris.

My son came by for grilled cheese sandwiches. He still has
a fondness for those and the macaronni and cheese he had for
lunch as a child. I have been making a lot of bread lately
and I always double the recipe and share with them. Linda
and I have been discussing the new couch she is getting and
since she called while he was here they got to chat with
each other too. We wish so much that she could live closer
than Tulsa and that we could stand her husband. He is so
bad that Ted can't even stand him and Ted is more tolerant.

It is time to get the kids.
