I absolutely loved college, and I hated High school with a passion. It is easier for many to go along with "common beliefs" on topics than to actually look things up or, heaven forbid, do research.

Brain washing requires something in there to clean out...I submit that someone who graduated in the BOTTOM 5 of his entire class, would not require much washing to start with.

I love dogs, cats are too independent for me. But after recently losing mine, I don't think I can go through that again..ya know.

I found the patches are really helpful in quitting smoking. I started on them when I first moved to Delaware, and cut down to like 5 cigs a day nearly overnight. But take them off before bed, those dreams they cause are sometimes vivid and disturbing!

Friend of mine back home got her MSW doing a thesis on Gay/Lesbian issues. She lost her house and we moved her in with us (7 people in a trailer, really fun) Partially inspired by living with me, my bf, and 3 lesbians (one an alcoholic after having been "disowned"). She was there when my dad found out about me and "cut me off" from any help or support during my sophomore year of college. While it sucked then, it taught me to stand for myself, and not rely on others in all walks of life. I had no idea she was taking notes about us all at the time either..

We know what we have the oppertunity to experience. That doesn't mean we don't care. You are doing more than most, by working to learn more.
