On my way home from St Pete on Saturday, I saw many homeless people and pan-handlers on the corners; more than usual. I guess it is a sign of the times. I don't mean to trivialize a real social problem. I actually want to paint some of these people and call it the "Invisible People". We see them, but we avert our eyes and could not describe them ten minutes later.
This was my first sketch. The idea for the sign came as I was sketching him. This was a 'reject' as I went on to sketch a different scene, but I later rescued this and painted it with watercolor. It is more of a poster than a painting; almost cartoonish.
