Ready? Here we go!

This is the Tampa skyline- very pretty when the sky is blue.

This is the Carnival cruise ship Inspiration returning from sea. Normally, she arrives around 5 AM. Yesterday, she did not get in until about 2:30 PM. I never did find out why. She was due to leave port at 4 PM on a new cruise but did not leave port until 10 PM because she was so late.

This is Channelside, where the Inspiration berths. I took this shot before she arrived. You can see the USS Victory, now used as a museum, in the background.

Tampa Drydock, where ships are repaired.

Coming down the channel we pass lots of high-rent apartments and homes. The little boat on the left belongs to a fellow Auxiliary member. This is where she lives. Further down are the homes worth millions- virtual palaces. One has its own light house.

Tampa's new fire boat. They were out training too and it was fun to watch the water shoot nearly 100 feet into the air.
Of course, I have lots of other pictures, but this will give you an idea of why I like going on patrols. Even when it is cold and overcast, it is beautiful out on the water.
