I don't paint a lot of portraits because they are not my strong suite. Yes, I paint a lot of people, but getting likenesses is very hard for me. If you can recognize this face without squinting at it sideways, then maybe I did capture some resemblance to the subject. Like everything else I do, I will likely make a few more adjustments and hope that I don't screw it up.

I fell yesterday and hurt my foot. I think I broke my toe, but the upper part of my arch hurts worse than the toe which is black and blue, yet the arch is neither bruised nor swollen. It hurts so bad that I wrapped it in an ace so that I could walk---well, hobble around the house. I have not sought medical treatment because one emergency room visit, ex-rays and several hundred dollars later I would go home with... an ace wrapped around my foot! Yes, we need health care reform.
