I was asked to contribute a piece of art to this year's Coast Guard Fine Art Program. The Salmagundi Art club (the jury) did not accept this piece so I donated it to the South Florida Coast Guard Officers Association. They have an annual ball and silent auction, so the painting ended up not going to waste.

Both Jondude and another artist friend, Terri, have inspired me to try a seascape. They both did absolutely stunning pieces. You saw Jon's. Terri posted hers on FB and she used pastels. Terri earned an honorable mention at a juried show- don't remember which one. I am not really good with either pastels or watercolor, but I am determined to try to do this with pastels. I need to paint more!
