I just bought a painting from Jon too- Birch trees with bright yellow green undergrowth behind which I pretend are field of wild daffodils like in Germany.
Great photos. You must be proud to be a great grandfather!
Ah, such a beautiful, romantic poem!
No wonder you are tired! Pregnancy, esp. while raising another child will do that to you! I love your pictures of Skylar on FB. She is so adorable!
My dogs love raw carrots. Guess they would also like them steamed, but I never thought to do that since they love the raw ones so much.
Here in Florida too! We have a Tea Party governor!
First of all, Wow! I was able to log on to MyBloggers today! I had no idea that you had such a difficult childhood. Yes, so many great books were censored, even when I attended school although by that time there were fewer 'forbidden' books. I only remember Lolita and Madam Bovary banned. Steinbeck, by that time, was regarded as one of the greatest/best American novelists. Yes, adversary does toughen one up- unless one feels entitled and cheated.
Sorry to hear about Ted. That has to be distressing for both of you.I think even the birds know that it is still winter up north. I saw white pelicans this past week and they are usually all gone by the end of March.
Definitely a pioneer woman! I don't know that I would try that!
While your cypress trees were beautiful, your landscapes this past year have been stunning!
I do hope Rosie recovers. Very scary to have a sick pet.
I forgot about it! Oh no! Did you get pictures?
He sounds like a genuinely kind and loving soul. Glad he spent the last years of his life with you.
Yes, mid January was record cold for Florida! Wish I could hear you play the piano.
