Yesterday I attended a dedication of a Korean War Memorial here in Hillsborough County. It was a beautiful ceremony if a bit too long. There was even a representative of South Korea present as well as two Korean military officers, one Army one Navy. A group of Korean women dressed in their gorgeous traditional dresses sang a few songs and the Invocation was delivered by the Korean Naval Officer, who just happened to be a chaplain.
I posted the pictures that I did because I got a real shock. These are Viet Nam veterans...MY generation?! I am that old? Crutches, motorized wheel chairs, white hair, crooked backs... Yup, that is my generation! Heck, I refuse to post a picture of myself because I hate how I look with all of this extra weight that makes me look like Mrs. Stay Puft Marshmallow.
I can't stay to read posts now because I am off to a picnic. I might stop back tonight. If not, catch you tomorrow!
