How Much Fun is This?

With the RNC being held in Tampa next week, Coast Guard Sector St. Petersburg, CG Auxiliary and law enforcement is in overdrive with security preparations. Some minor situations have already occurred- things I picked up on the local news. On top of that, hurricane Issac is headed right into the Gulf and our hurricane preparations/ warnings now rival the security concerns of the RNC. Please don't let it move even a bit to the east! We really don't need this right now.

I don't know what is going on with me. I feel like my head is underwater (or like it feels on an airplane when the pressure changes) and I lost some of the hearing in my right ear. I also have some indigestion and nausea, and no, it is not due to the storm. The storm is too far away to be responsible for this. This is something physical; I just don't know what. I have taken it easy all day. If I still feel this way tomorrow I will go to the doctor. Ugh. That means a 14 mile drive to the VA over the interstate. That is why I did not go today.

I'm in agreement with others. Not to panic, just be concerned about abnormal things happening with your systems. I'm channeling the hurricane to hit ONLY the repub. convention. They deserve all the hell they can get.

It could be a heart attack or West Nile or a precursor to something even
just as serious. Go!! I am hoping that the storm won't come into the Gulf. We have you and Teal and Martin in harms way as well as all the other people there.

It is scary to see what is up with Isaac. Hopefully, he will stay mild (sub-hurricane) and avoid you and Martin!
You should definitely get your symptoms checked. I am not sure what they imply, but it can be helpful to get it sorted out.

I don't want the hurricane to come to your house, Dottie. The news stations here are warning us of the diverse symptoms that women experience with heart attacks. The doctor said the worst heart attack she ever saw, the patient only reported a toothache. Go take some aspirin, and consider calling 911. They said you shouldn't drive yourself, and you should go right away.
