Last night I went to Disney World for their holiday celebration. It was fun! The Christmas Parade is not an 'electric' parade. There are lights, but not like what they had before. I hope that did not sound like a complaint. Just the opposite! The parade was so much fun! Of course, of all of the pictures I took, I had to post the one of Mickey Mouse's float. All of the major Disney characters had their own float. Cinderella's was drawn by the most adorable white miniature horses. They served free hot chocolate with sugar cookies. (They ought to at $58 a ticket.. and that is for a five-hour evening pass!)

I went with my girl-friend, Susie. (Some of you might remember that she is Seminole.) This morning I drove home, unpacked and made a big pot of potato soup.

I still have not put up a tree but I plan to do that tomorrow. My house used to be decorated to the hilt at Christmas. I have at least 16 big, plastic containers of decorations in my attic. Most of them are Santa's as I collected them. I have some of the most unique Santas and some are so beautiful! Sadly, I have not pulled out my decorations since Tod died. Most of my tree ornaments are hand-made, and many my sons either made themselves or bear their names. Last year, I could not bear the thought of seeing them. The Disney Christmas experience helped me to remember the sheer joy and warmth of the season and I am sure Tod would not want me to give that up. He loved my house at Christmas.
