I love ice cream, yogurt, frozen yogurt...oh, I guess I like anything cold and creamy that screams "DESSERT" to me! LOL I would love that place!

Sounds like very valuable book that can certainly help adults and children deal and cope with a number of issues facing children who are a part of visitations...but, also with all adults and children for when any child is traveling alone or being with an adult other than the usual parent(s) or responsible adults. Is it more or less age specific or does it cover a variety of age levels so that younger and older kids can benefit from it?

I've pretty much reach the desperate point for wanting to paint the livingroom walls, which are now beige, but a dirty looking beige, so I really need to change the color. I'll probably pick another one of the "blah" colors, as you like to refer to them, because they do tend to match things better and splashes of color can be added with the furniture and accessories.

Your newspaper situation made me laugh...not because it's funny, but because it's so typical today of people, especially kids. We were always taught to re-close doors and gates, to push chairs in, just to return things to the way we found them...but, gates left open can have serious results for some people even if it doesn't apply to you or everybody. Around here, a paper carrier can get in real trouble for putting the paper in the mailbox...the law states that nothing can be placed in a mailbox that isn't actually mail and it has to be placed there only by a mail carrier or the owner of the mailbox. Technically, an unmailed newspaper (or anything) placed in a mailbox is a federal offense.

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY, GINO!!!
Comment on Happy Birthday Gino! - Oct 1, 2008 8:54 PM ()
I'm sure Gino understood and still appreciated the trip out to have dinner for his birthday...because friends are like that. He probably felt bad that you felt bad about it. It was already enough that you weren't feeling well and he would want you to take care of that first without adding feelings about disappointing him...because friends are like that.

I stopped by to congratulate you on being selected the featured user! Congratulations!

By the way, I enjoyed the post a great deal, too. The pics are wonderful and you really were a James Dean dude!

I know some people who are eligible for benefits but will not even ask for them because it is felt that if the the worker wants to add a domestic partner to the policy, the work environment will change for the negative.

So, take care of yourself you must! How are you feeling now? I think it's awful that you have to keep having to pay for something caused by someone else. Wasn't there enough suffering? It's especially important that you take care of yourself...yes, for your health's sake, but also so you are not made to be more of a victim than you already are. I give you credit...and I have ever since I first met you...for taking on the responsibilities of a family, a home, now a job (as you have had some in the past), your writings, and still manage to have a great sense of humor, a fabulously positive outlook on life, and a tremendous relationship and influence with others. I sure do hope you are feeling better.

Nothing wrong with a relaxing day, especially if it helps to catch up on reading and/or other things needing to be done. So cute the birds will find something else to shred.
