Last night's full moon was the biggest and brightest of the year! The moon's orbit is elliptical, not circular, and the moon was not only full last night, but it was at the closest point to the earth as it gets! I couldn't resist taking the camera out into the 20 degree temps to get a few shots! I came back in pretty fast. I saw a few other photo ops that I took advantage of too.

In one picture the moon looks caught in a giant spider web.
Thanks for sharing! It was cloudy here last night so the moon was a no show. I guess the moon was closest to the earth than ever last night, only 221,600 miles away. From your pictures, you can see it was almost close enough to touch it.
