It warms my heart to hear this story. Ombudsman work is very frustrating at times and the staff can be really nasty when exposed for not doing their jobs. Ed has my admiration for all he does for our one of our most vulnerable populations.

Jeri, I am an ombudsman in NY state. Every nursing home facility is required by Federal Law to post the number for their states' Ombudsman in an easily seen area for the residents to locate. The facility is also required to honor their request if a resident wants to make a private phone call. Ombudsman are volunteers specifically trained to assist residents in nursing homes with complaints or difficult issues. An Ombudsman can assist residents in understanding what their rights are according to the law. Our services are free. Nursing homes get away with a lot. Unfortunately, so do families sometimes.

I love this service. The practically pay you to rent their DVDs by the time they pay shipping to and from your door and there are no due dates to worry about. They are super fast. You have the movie at your door within a day or two which is great because sometimes I order movies for school assignments.
