I'm with you Randy, I've had enough medical crapola for the rest of my life!!!! My 46 yo b-i-l had cancer in his bladder/tumors last year, very slow growing kind, Dr. said probably 10+ years...they had to take out his bladder, prostate and one kidney, some lymph nodes as it had spread. They made him a functioning bladder out of his large intestine and after 3-4 months he is happy with his new bladder and it is working properly!!! Can you imagine at 46!! That's how old I am!!! He is free and clear of the cancer after 1 year of treatment!!! We had a lot to celebrate over Thanksgiving when 4 car loads of my family drove the 600 mile trip North to celebrate with us here in Butte County!

Anyhow, it is up to us to take extra special care of ourselves, I have friends who stay healthy with alternative methods, but the wimp that I am, thought it was just a bad sinus infection at T-day, ended up being an abscessed upper molar and after 3 antibiotics I got my first tooth pulled on Monday!!! RELIEF!!!! No more popcorn for me, it made a small crack in my molar and then it had a party on it's own. Yet, it poisoned my whole body!!! I even had to get a month extension for me to finish my project in Graduate school, that is how sick I have been. Thank goodness for ice packs, heating pads and Vicodin!!! Ever since I first broke my back I have almost ZERO pain tolerance, so I am starting to go to bio-feedback with people I know and trust, to help with my chronic pain etc etc. Boy did I ramble on....Barb Foy is on the mend!!!! FINALLY!!

Like growing your own food and taking CARE of yourself!! We do the best we can on a daily basis. I say that I am what I am....and I think it may even be a title of a book to read!!!
Be well my friend, I just finished "Three Cups of Tea" and ended up sending a box of books to my friend in Pakistan, he had not read the book and it is all about his country and building schools for girls!! It is a light read, but an important read!!!

That's why I have been a native Californian the majority of my life.....Beautiful to look at, but no fun when you have to drive in it, your wife is much braver than I,traveling to work in all that snow!! Then there's the retired judge showing his love of nature and especially the gorgeous winter birds of Utah!!!! Very cool that you two love it in Utah compared to all those years in Fl.
I love the 40's and 50's we get some days right now!!! I need a lot of SUNLIGHT!!! Thanks for all the pics.

Happy 009 Steve!! Great post about having a real DD while out celebrating!!
With both of my daughter's our rule always has been, no matter what....... to call me at home no matter what hour and I will come and pick them and/or thier friends up!!!! I may be mad for being woken up at 3am , but it is better than being a grieving mother!!!! BTW, only 2 times I have had to do this....once with my adopted daughter 19, and my bio daughter also one time, so we do what works for our families!!!
MADD has made quite an impact through out the States!! Anyhow, be well, and WOWZERS is that a normal snow fall for your part of the world??? Gorgeous pics of the snow!!

I have to admit I think that was very appropriate for the Shi'ite TV reporter Muntazer al-Zaidi to throw his shoes at a man who has decimated his part of the world!!! I know it wasn't all done by just GW but under his 8 year watch, it is incredible what has happened to millions of us, especially here in the good old United States of America!!!! Let alone world wide.

Thank you for sharing with us, your love for your son will help ease the pain of vivid reminders of him!!! Thinking about you, this time of year is difficult for a lot of loved ones, hang in there Dottie. We had snow flurries in California today, more coming on Sunday.

Wow James, as usual you do the hard work of researching and what an interesting article to start my day off!!! Never heard of the Tic Man but powerful guy with the $$$$$, talk about behind the scenes!!!
We are deeply saddened by the passing of Prop 8, and PISSED OFF as all get out!!!! Just because we didn't have the $$$$$$$$$ to outdo the yes vote, sick motherfer's for sure!! I mean come on this is 2008 PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!
