I left at 6am this morning and it took longer to drive to the Sacramento airport from my house in Paradise, then the entire FLIGHT down south!!! I lovelovelove FLYING!!!

I'm staying at the Ryan Resort, gorgeous views and a lovely pool and spa!! It sounds nice, because it is very lovely here....I'm staying in the West Wing, at my little sister's home in Pacific Hills!!

Anyhow, the surgery on my b-i-l is supposed to be a 6 hour surgery and he goes in at 6am so we're all hoping for he best, as he just turned 46 yesterday, yep born on Saint Paddy's day!! The insane thing to think about here is the fact that I will also be turning 46 in April!!! I plan on living to be 100 years old, so I am almost at the half way point!!

Then in a couple of days, I will take the train from here to Simi Valley to spend some time at my adopted Mom's house, some of you know she is trying to recover from a medical nightmare and a surgery that could not continue as they punctered her long and things went down hill after that. She was trading in her pacemaker of 6 years for a defibrillator and cannot have the surgery now. It would of helped her quality of life...

So anyhow, I still remember almost 21 years ago when she drove 600 miles when I delivered my firstborn in Chico, and how much those 10 days meant to me and Ayla. After working in hospice and hospitals I'm pretty comfortable around people who need personal care. I'm big on Hospice at home, and am arranging to meet with a Social Worker at Kaiser in LA. No one else is really able to talk about it quite yet.... It's times like these that I wish I could "handle" living down in this insanity of CARS, and people!!!

Anyhow, off to the pool, I really need a good night's sleep tonight as it is about to get pretty busy starting at 6am tomorrow!!
