A Journey Into My Life

Top Spots

This one I can "promise". I get the "top spots" in most every event I do. If not the first time I do the event, I will "forever more". I want to "help" those who are just "starting" and thinking about this.

I am not trying to "brag" or anything.. just saying, there are "logical" ways to do this.

First, you have to have "cool chit". If you just got "flea market crap", your chances are "nill". If you got something "unique".. something that WILL bring people to the "event".. your chances of having a "top spot" are high. They want you there, and want people to see "their" event. However, there are others with "cool" stuff at every event.

How your "display" is made.. means alot. Mine is very "flexable". I'll talk to the promoter. I'll say, hey I can "wind around that tree". Nobody else would fit there. They have a "canopy" and alot of other chit. They won't fit, I will. And they like my stuff. That's one of the reasons (in 24 years) I never had a canopy. Rains, tarp it for a few minutes.

Nobody (and I mean nobody) can work out the "top spot" in events like me. Very few times I can't really.

Has ALOT to do with alot. Being direct, and firm is one. Tell them FLAT OUT.. I do this for a living. I want to do your show, but I do this for a living. If I am gonna be here, I need a "top location". Always remember this.. they promote the show "once a year".. you are in a show every week. Sticks in their head or something. You seem like a "dick", you seem "pretentious".. lol. But still it works. Suddenly, (to them) your the "professional".. they are not.

I know the "difference". I know it very well. If I didn't do the things the way I do.. I'd have a $100 day. The way I do, I change it to a $1000 day.

With shows, you kinda have to be "direct". They listen really. Pretty soon, your hanging out with them. Wanting to make their show better.

Lots to getting the "top spot". I'll tell all I know. Expert here.. lol.

Anyway,, need some sleep. Night ALL!

Gary :)
