A Journey Into My Life

Toilet Paper

The biggest "issue" of this show was "toilet paper". I was right next to the "port-o-john". Now listen to this.. It's NOT a way to run a festival.

It wasn't a "huge" event. Not by my standards. But there was a "carnival", "car show", maybe 100 vendors, petting zoo, winery (wine tasting), apple orchard.. it still drew "alot of people". How many? I couldn't say. I really don't count them. I'd guess "20 K" or so.

In the "entire event", there was a total of "two" port-o-johns. Plus a real bathroom inside the "cider mill". That got closed.. first day. Before noon on Friday (was a 3 day event).

So now, there are 20 thousand people or so, trying to use these "two portable johns". I had to take a "shit" on Saturday. About 9am. Already outta paper. So I tried the others. Same situation. GROSS in all! If the health department had come by, would be closed down. I'll leave to your "imagination" how I finally dealt with it.

I brought my own paper the next day. I "Selective", watched the people going into it. If they were "cool to me", I gave them the "roll to use". I just said "bring it back".. lol. I know if I left it.. would be gone in 10 minutes. What is "wrong to me" is a major festival.. that can't get the "bathrooms" clean. I had my paper.. couldn't give to all. Most were gonna have to check out the "other" restrooms. Which, I knew were the same. When the "women looked" needy.. I always handed my roll. By 9 am (next day), the toilets were cleaned again. By 10 am.. no paper again.. Glad I brought my own.
---------
He was a "Dick"! Vendor across from me. He's done shows 5 years.. me, 24 on my own, plus grew up with it. So 37 years. This is what "pissed me off". He came into this, thinking he is all cool. He came in "late" and completely blocked my spot for "hours" with his truck and trailer. That didn't bother me alot.. he had alot to set up. I lost ALOT of sales, but whatever. I didn't care. The moment I "did care" was this. At 5PM Saturday, we decided to leave. So did most other vendors. He didn't want me to leave, because he considered me a "draw". So I heard him complaining to "everyone" that I left early. So I think.. "What the fuck"! You come in "late" acting like you own the place, and "Give me problems"? I'll turn this "around", in a second I think.

I went in "late". On purpose. I wanted to "park my van" in his spot. Same he did to me. Didn't work out.. cause he was 2 hours late again. I set up.. moved.

Tear down was different. I pulled up my van.. parked right where he wanted to be. I have a "quick tear down", but I went slow on purpose. Made the fucker cart his stuff quite a way. I blocked his ass on purpose. He couldn't do much, till "I decided" to leave..

Don't be an "Ass to me".. all I think. I'll turn it around. I knew half the vendors at the show. If worse came to worse.. they'd support me. This I know. You "Don't" do shows 5 years, and own the place.

Anyway.. I must keep "toilet paper" in the van. This I know :)
