A Journey Into My Life

The Show/concert Today

2009 KCQ Music fest pic in the news. I promise, this was way before "noon". By noon.. there wasn't walking room.

I made it to the KCQ Music fest. I was able to get my brother to take a day off. One of his kids came (him), and his new girlfriends daughter.

Travis Trit (Jesica Andrews and Jamie Johnson). The main stage was less then 100 feet from my both. I could hear them play, but really couldn't see them. If I walked 10 feet from my booth.. I could've. I didn't have time to do that. Not even once actually. I could hear them "loud as heck", but I didn't pay much attention as I am not into country music.

We arrived at like 8am. I had constant orders till it ended at 6pm. The coins really only take me 5-10 minutes each (if you want the truth). Most of the day, I had a "several hour waiting list". Yes Red and Dottie, thank you for the compliments. I know I am good at what I do. Always nice to hear it too.

Despite that, I didn't do what I really expected to make. It was close, so don't get me wrong. It was good. But I was a bit slower I think (actually I know.. I am fast even at this.. but not like I usually am). I think it had alot to do with the death of "Xenia", and not getting ANY sleep the night before. Too much on my mind I guess.

Another factor, Roxann wasn't there to help. There was no room for her and "Sebastian". She knows what I do. She would be there taking money in and whatever.. giving me the time to cut without doing things like that. Yes the others tried to help (and they did), but they don't really know the system as well as she does. I think that was a factor.

I estimate, I cut about 80-100 coins today. I was expecting to do more like 150.

I'm sorry. I know before I said I'd get pictures. I have none. The plan was for "Roxann" to take some. I really don't have the time in a busy show. My brother Brian was gonna get some and email them to me.. but his cellphone/camera died today. So we got nothing there.

The said thing is.. pretty much all I made will go to get the car "un-repo'd" and I'll send childsupport (but less then I wanted).

There was WALL TO WALL people. At every point in the day, there was no less then 12 people hanging around my booth looking. Sometimes 30 or more (this is a truthful estimate).

Check this link people. Especially Redwolftimes and Dottie. It's a short news article of the event, and a picture. just do it, jeez.. you got time to do that.. lol. However, that picture was taken "early in the day" (for sure). Because by Noon, it was 3 times as packed as that. If you look at the concert stage, you can't see my booth. It's covered by some trees (I was right under those on the left, the closer ones to the stage). But I was right up there and close.

Just want to let you know more what my life is like. I do events "weekly". Have for 24 years (on my own), plus grew up with it.

Take care all.. and really, I am sorry I didn't get "personal" pics this time. There will be other shows :)
