I woke early... well "early for me" to watch Obama being sworn in. It's now 8:21 PM, and I have watched this the entire day. It was cool, but only so much of this to watch. I mean, it took hours watching the "motorcade" alone. Not to mention the "Luncheon". At some point it gets old.. so right now "American Idol" is on, I decided to change channels.

I am still left with the thoughts of the "Election". I remember, I wrote (long ago) I didn't think I could vote for a "Black" President. That wasn't based on color, it was based on the fact I didn't think "America in general" was ready, or would accept one. I was wrong.. but wouldn't have been wrong if Obama didn't do things the way he did. I really wanted "Hillary", but Obama has gained my respect in a very big way.

I like his overall "outlook"! I like the fact, he rarely makes "race" a huge issue. Of course it's on his mind, but he doesn't come off as someone who just wants to see "Blacks" in power. He comes off, as someone who cares for everyone (reguardless) of color, race, or religion. And that is what I have ALWAYS wanted in a President. Someone with the right "Mindframe". I've been accused of being preduice, I feel I never have been. I have been very vocal when I hear some "Blacks" pulling the "race card, as it's called". The black man can't do this, cause of the "white man".. all that BS. There was a time when that was true,, but ended long ago. Today just proved it to the "Blacks".

So Obama will be "great" for this country in this "respect". The blacks won't go to school, feeling they are "less". I think that ended long ago, but there will always be some whites that don't like blacks, and some blacks that don't like whites. Personally.. I don't like "Blacks or Whites" that I feel hate just because color. When I hate a "black or white" I always feel it's because they are a naieve ass. Or showing hate, or being evil.. or sumptin..

I think the "BEST" thing about "Barak Obama" being in office is this..! I think he will change ALOT of young black peoples minds. They (many) won't be sitting in school, thinking they are so "mis-treated" because of color. They will feel, that although many whites are against them (but it's a 2 way street), the majority are willing to accept a person of ANY color to lead. Just the person has to have the "right head". And those children now feel, they can become "President" if they wanted.. a far better thought then wanting to be in a "gang"..

Obama wants "Healthcare reformed", he wants our ass out of Iraq, he wants to stimulate the economy, and "Guantanamo bay" closed down. He understands "race issues", and knows how not to piss off any race. He is one smart and perceptive man.. and I am glad he became "President"!!
