A Journey Into My Life

Gary the Humanitarian

Garden, and partial yard. My neighbors is same size. Old pic, we got 1/3 planted now.

Busy show traffic. Like that all day. My booth in the back.

-------------------------------------------------
So I was sitting outside "cutting coins" all day. This "young couple" (who I didn't know) moved into the house next door.

The young guy, was there mowing the yard. With a little "push mower". I thought to myself "That's gotta suck". It's gonna take him forever. If you seen my "garden pics", you know how big that yard is. It's the same size as ours.

I kept on working, doing my thing. Hours later, I start to thinking.. Damn I should help him. He has barely finished the "front yard", and that back yard is WAY overgrown. Here, the front yards grow slow, but the back yards super fast.

I decided I should get the "Riding mower" out, and just do it for him. Then I thought, No, the riding mower really isn't mine. Yes I fixed it, bought parts.. but can I offer to use it for the "neighbors", when I don't own the thing? I let another hour go by and kept "cutting coins".

He went to the back yard (with the push mower). The grass was so high, the yard is HUGE. Finally, I went in and asked Roxann if it's ok I use it to mow his yard (The mower belongs to her parents). She said, sure. That's nice of you. Afterall, it's be sitting there in the garage another 10 years, had you not fixed it.

He was "mowing", and it was kinda funny. Because the grass was so DEEP, it was taking him "minutes" to go inches.

I walked over, "Didn't know him". I just said "Hey Dude, why don't you put that crappy push mower away, and let me get the riding mower here. He was like "Yes, that would be "GREAT"!

Even the large (12 hp) "Wheelhorse" mower was bogging down in his yard. For most of the yard, I had the "grass catcher" hooked up. But I think that was part of the problem. It was filling up so quick, putting a strain on everything. I finally had to take it off. I mowed the thing, he was happy.

So when I finished, we got the formalities over. He told me his name, which I forgot already (I am super terrible with names). He said "If you ever need any help with anything, don't hesitate to ask". I said "same to you". So I made a friend..... cool, it's the way I like to live...
-------------------------------------------------

So for those of you who read my blogs, you know I have wanted to get "$5000.00" worth of stock done before this weekend. I am happy to say, I reached that mark today. No I didn't do it all this week, but I have worked constant. With what I had before, plus the 30+ coins I've been doing a day. I am there. I still have till Saturday to do more. I think I can cut another $1000.00 before the big show on Saturday (KCQ). Then we have "back to back" big shows coming up. I'm at a point I feel "happy" with the progress. Plus, everything on display is on a chain or keychain. I have another 250 or so chains, 100 keychains (for custom work), and a brand new saw (they don't slip when new). Another new drill too. I'm set to start making some "good money". I always do, when I have my "system" working the way I want. It is now.

80,000 people go to this "island". We are in for sure. I have the island passes now. We will be posting pictures.

If all goes as expected (and this one I am pretty certain it will), I plan to buy the kids here a "pool". I also promised my ex a very "nice" childsupport" check. The show is held "rain or shine", so I can't imagine doing bad. Even if it rains, the people are all gonna be on the "island. We'll pay bills or whatever with the rest.
-----------------------------------
The garden is about 1/3 done. Most of those plants are coming up. I have been watering the crap out of it. I still worry if we can "finish" it. I'd say.. we got like 2 weeks to get all in. We keep working at it....

Take care all, Gary :)
PS.. Who says I don't work.. lol.
