Farrah's Story

I've been watching "Farrah's story" tonight. Very sad to me. Not many in my generation that don't consider her an "icon".

I know she is "praying" for a Miracle. I prayed for her too. I believe in "Miracles" (As I believe in Jesus), but I don't believe they are "automatic". Sometimes, it's time to go. I think her time is up. I hope it isn't (for her), but it seems to me she won't be around much longer. I seriously hope I am wrong.

Personally, I have been "near death" multiple times. Why I am alive, I really don't know. I believe "God" has his reasons for everything. He doesn't always let us know his plans.

I've laid in "Hospital" beds enough, to have come to terms with death. I really don't fear that. Pain, I fear. If I become "terminal" with something, I won't be one looking for more and better treatment.

One reason I am a "Strong advocate" for a person's right to "assisted suicide" is this: (No she is not talking about that, I am giving my personal thoughs). I laid in a hospital bed for months. Ruptured spleen, and I was messed up very bad from a motocross accident. The pain I went through was almost "un-bearable". At times, it looked like I might not make it. My condition improved.

What if however, the doctors told me they saw no chance of getting better? I had time to think about alot of things. If I was to live my last months in constant pain, only to die in the end?! I came to the conclusion, that I want (in that case) the informed decision to either continue my life in pain (bedridden), or end it in a peaceful way. "Jack Koverkian" (The once jailed so called suicide doctor) was/is a "hero" to me. He never took a life. He let the patients decide.. while they still could. I strongly believe that is (or should be) every person's right.

Farrah is "fighting on". That's her "right" I believe. I nethier consider that good or bad. I consider it "her choice", which is what it should be. Personally, seeing how bad the cancer is.. and the chances or survival. If I was in her situation.. I'd be calling "Dr. Jack".

I don't agree with suicide at all really. I've actually stopped quite a few in progress. But those were people who were just having bad times. Nobody that I stopped was "terminal", and nobody I felt couldn't bounce back. I just wanted them to have some time (with a clearer) head, to really think it over. If someone is considered "terminal", they have already thought about it. Only they know the pain they are feeling, only they know their life. Those people, deserve the "choice".. and no state, or government should decide that for them.

I pray for "Farrah" to recover! I hope she does!!! She is having an enormous struggle right now. She is being "strong", and good spirits (from what I can see). I'm just saying.. if it was me.. my choices would be different.

I just want everyone to know my wishes. If I am ever in that situation. A situation where I "had a stroke", "brain dead", "on life support" or anything that looked to a logical mind my chances were "nill"... PULL THE FUCKING PLUG!! If you make me suffer on machines, when death is in-evitable.. when I finally die.. I'll "Piss on your head from heaven",, all of you that didn't give my "Own choice" in the matter.

But hey, that's just me.....

God bless you "Farrah"!! I'll keep praying for you...

Gary
