This pic is about 7 or 8 years old. It's basically how
I look at work. The display is very similar, I dress the same. The only changes is I got more "grey hairs", and the
backgrounds have been changed to "purple".
--------------------------------------------
I got up early today, and began cutting coins.
I spent most of the day doing that. The longest part starting, is getting "Sebastian" ready. I have to feed him.. change him.. dress him.. set up his crib outside.. and fill it with toys. Then I have to get all my tools out and such.
Once I am going, I can get quite alot done. Today, I'd say I cut about 50 necklaces. I finally got tired, and quit. Then I proceeded to load my display for the show in "Bay City" tomorrow. Now I can sit here and relax a few.
The boards aren't full yet. Necklaces don't take a ton of room, so I can keep adding more. However, I finally feel they are looking good enough for any major show we will do. I gotta get some more money coming in, so I am doing all the "toughest" things. Customers will notice a "big" difference in the "quality" of my cuts on display this year, as opposed to last year. Don't get me wrong, I always have a decent looking display.. but I stepped it up a bit this year. And I didn't increase prices. Actually, I lowered them. My booth is most always one of the most popular any place I go. But with the "economy" so bad, I need to do something.
The show we do this weekend, won't be "huge". I make decent money there.. but it's more of a "filler show". It's just a flea market, but is the best one I know of in Michigan (and I have done alot here). I do expect to "double" in sales here, from what I did last year.
This time, we are gonna take some "flea market" stuff too. We packed an extra table, and are bringing other things to sell. Mainly, I am taking alot of video games. I collected games for like 30 years. I have "gobs and gobs". We are running out of room with so much stuff here, so I figure it's time to sell some of it. It's gonna piss off one vendor I know for sure. He does this market constant, and he will complain to management that I brought the games. He is way "over priced" and mine will be pretty cheap. I'm not really worried about it. This market says they get constant calls on when I might be back. If anyone has a problem, it will be him (not me)... dam business world is so "cutthroat".. lol.
Anyway, wish us luck this weekend! Not supposed to rain or anything, so we should do ok. I now gotta watch "Farrah's" story on TV. I've been waiting for this all week.
