Better Off

Now that the election is finally over I can start writing again instead of constantly searching the web for news on the candidates and the barrage of stories that have occupied a large portion of my free time. I am not ashamed to admit now that I have learned that I was not the only one.

So the night of the election I found myself in a hotel room in Morocco, Fes to be precise. The election results started coming in about 11:00 pm at night. The final results, when California closed the polls came in sometime around 4:00 am.
I started whooping so loud that my neighbors banged on the walls. Can’t recall the last time that happened!

The next day we went to a city called Arfoud, driving through beautiful snow capped mountains to get there.

That night we had a sunset camel ride scheduled. When we reached the top of the sand dunes and the sun was setting all the camel jockeys, simultaneously, and un-prompted started to shout Obama with pure joy in their voices.

Everywhere we travelled people shouted Obama at us, assuming that we were all Americans.

As I was leaving the country and went through security the guard motioned me through and said Obama.

Well he certainly has made my life better already.

Glad you are back. When I was in Morocco it felt like being in a different world. Glad you are back with us.

Not only is it good to have you back, it's awesome to read about Obama's world-wide reception! Hallelujah! Now, what the heck were you doing in Morocco?

After eight long years of darkness, a new and brighter day for America is dawning!

Yeah, our image abroad should certainly improve!

What an incredible story! Yes, he is the first man in decades to inspire people everywhere to greatness. Americans have been so unpopular for so long. He has given us a chance to improve our image both at home and abroad. What a burden he is taking on. Obama!
