Mobile Phones

Phone Woes;

Recently I start a downward spiral with my mobile phone. I had a Motorola Razor,
was drawn to it sleek sexy look but it would go to mute all on its own. Of course only while I was talking on the phone. After one year, the battery would only last 20 minutes and I was always walking around looking for a place to plug it in. In restaurants, public restrooms and people’s homes. I was the one who would walk into a place and immediately lower my eyes to seek out the “place to plug in” like some sort of plug stalker
Of course I was embarrassed and always pretended that I had just ran out of juice.

A few weeks of this and I had to make a grown up decision. Time to buy a new phone. I can’t tell you how traumatic it is to have to learn new buttons and new functions.

I bought a Samsung, just did not like this phone at all. I don’t think it liked me either as I lost it a month later.

My friends felt sorry for me and gave me another Razor, they happened to have around the house. They later confessed that they also hated the phone.

A month ago, the Razor would again go to mute as soon as I started to talk. It actually had an unmute button, is that even a word?

I went to the electronics store and after walking around for an hour simply could not commit to any phone I did not love.

My same friends then gave me a Sony Ericsson smart phone. Just to show me how smart the phone is it called a colleague 13 times throughout the first night while charging. Yesterday it sent a text message to my boss with the word “tearful”
Having recently resigned from my job my boss phoned me immediately thinking that I was feeling sad and that I might possible change my mind. I explained that my smart phone was randomly choosing words from my smart dictionary and sending it as text messages.
Today my friend called and said why did you send me a text with the word starch?
I remembered being at the laundry on Sat. trying to find the Chinese word for starch on the smart phone dictionary.

I came home and did some serious thinking; I knew I could not go on having the phone send random sad or happy messages to everyone on my phone list.

It occurred to me that the only phone I ever liked was my pearl blackberry. Easy to use big letters making it easy to read. Well behaved does not send out messages without my permission.

I contacted T mobile and they sent me 11 steps to unlock my phone so that I could put my Chinese chip in it. Problem solved for now.
I ordered another BB pearl to use with my American chip.
