The sweet little lady that lives across the street can not walk and is in her wheelchair everyday, looking out of her window, watching the birds. Her husband died recently and I have taken it upon myself to fill up her birds feeders every week.  Her world is limited to what she can see from her window.  She has sitters that take care of her rotating  12 hour shifts.



Her son came over this morning while I was randomly throwing "weed and feed" in the front yard. He told me my dear neighbor will be going to an assisted living home in two weeks.

I have decided to search online for a simple bird pattern to make a small  lap quilt for her to use when they take her outside, etc.  There are other quilt "projects" out there, but they are close to be completeSo.... that's my new project.
