Need Some Romantic Ideas Please ... ..

My son and his bride will celebrate their first anniversary on June the 28th ( actually anniversary is that Sunday. They are also going to be in a friends wedding that weekend which left out any chances of a weekend get away.

My son decided to rent the same honeymoon suite at the bed and breakfast where the reception was held, also thought he would get a limousine to pick them up from the "other wedding" to take them there afterwards.

He is stumped on what he can do for her that would be "special" since time is so limited. They both have to return to work and school on Monday, the actually anniversary date.

Any romantic ideas I could pass on to him?

Thanks y'all.

Create a basket filled w/mementos of their wedding:
-a "framed" moment that was from their pre/post wedding - something candid
-a party favor from their reception
-a small vase w/flowers from their special day
-a recipe card w/ingredients for a wonderful marriage
-a coupon for edible goodies from their favorite store/caterer
-a bottle of nice champagne, wine, or their fave beverage
-ready-made kettlecorn or dark chocolate for sweetness in marriage's journey
-a couple of smooth rock stones for smoothing over edgy times
-a ziploc w/a paper towel or sponge to absorb life's spills and keep things fresh
-a bag of M&Ms to encourage them to keep things colorful

. . . darlin' I could go on and on, but you get the idea. Oh, and of course, a special card explaining the items you fill the basket with. Though they don't have much time on their anniversary, they can enjoy the basket that you custom-created just for them later on as they redeem the coupons or munch on their M&Ms.

I hope this helps!

For me I go along with AJ on a picnic. But instead of the crane
how about flying a kite along the shores of whatever beach
that they go.This is fun and they would loved it.
After flying the kite and being so exhausted, time for lunch
A nice glass of wine and just the two of them to celebrate
the first anniversary of a wonderful couple.
Crane may give good luck. But love will be much stronger than
that.So go fly a kite and enjoyed.

For my first anniversary of my first marriage, I went out and bought four identical decks of cards. Then I tossed out every suit except the hearts in each deck. Then I shuffled them and made a new 52-card deck--- all hearts. I wrapped it up really nice and put the deck in a larger box, with heart-shaped balloons attached. Inside the deck of cards was a gift certificate to a party store she was planning to go to in order to get things for our anniversary party. Except for the balloons, all paper.

Paper...hmm, isn't money made partly of paper? How about a gift certificate for a meal at an upscale eatery (Bob's Diner??) that they would not usually spend their on money for? Good luck! Next Sunday is our anniversary! Hubby better be planning something...probably involves Home Depot or Lowes.

How about a nice romantic picnic. It could be decorated with paper cranes since it is the paper anniversary. Of course, it would be great if he could come up with 1,000 paper cranse because that brings good luck, but that would be tough.
