Photos of my yard - does it look like a "disgrace"? You be the judge. I'm not into having perfect grass and it shows. These were taken at all different times of the year, over several years and some were taken by my phone.
Front yard from another angle. in summer My driveway is on the "other" street. I suppose she didn't like the kiddy pool being there. Too bad.
This is part of the backyard with Bella and Ringo, a foster dog, playing, in May. Shows how bare the yard is at the back of the house. Oh, well.
Messy back corner, in early spring. Where nosy neighbors couldn't see.
Screen porch and Bella's rock, taken in early spring. There's more grass later in the year. We built the deck, then I designed the porch.
One of my newest additions is the bench, taken last September. It overlooks my "native plant" garden of plants native to Michigan. It's cool and shady, a nice place to be during the afternoon.
So, over all, there are a lot of bare spots. It's hard to grow grass when we don't get any sun. It has been messy at times and still is. I don't care. I don't leave open bags of garbage laying around nor anything unsafe.
All the shade keeps the house 5 to 10 degrees cooler than the rest of the world. I used to dress to warmly and then melt when I got out into the rest of the city.
