My car got hit yesterday when I went to the grocery store. She didn't even try to stop - she said she didn't see me. I saw her out of the corner of my eye, too late to do anything though. Her two boys were in her van so maybe they were distracting her? She said she didn't see me. I figured because it sounded like I got hit by a Mack truck!



If we'd met just a second or two earlier, she would have got me in the driver's door. I'm happy she didn't.



Do car's have frames anymore? It's been so long since I knew anything about that stuff. I'm hoping the frame (if there is one) didn't get all wonky on me. That would be very, very bad.



She helped me tear the bumper off the car the rest of the way. It was only attached on the passenger side. Seemed weird to be able to tear it off. It wouldn't bend, but we were able to get it into the cargo area.

Speaking of the tailgate, the bottom corner on the driver's side, is bent up and out. So, I suppose the whole tailgate will have to be replaced.

Her van? It has some scrapes on the front bumper. We both figured it can be buffed out.

Well, at least the scraping sound stopped...
