I am outraged for the family and at Wal-Mart. However, there's one thing I don't get. Why didn't their attorney's see that clause in the first place. And since they didn't, it seems to me that the family got poor legal representation. I think they ought to sue their incompetent lawyer!

I only go to Sam's Club for one prescription: Bella's prozac. It's $6 a month there and was costing me $30 a month elsewhere. The kmarts are at least 20 minutes away. Plain and simple, I can't afford any more.

Waterloo, you are the cutest little puppy I've seen in a long time! I hope your owner lets you come home soon. My girls stay in crates when I'm gone from the house, too. One of them sleeps in hers at night. My foster dogs also stay in crates when I'm not around and at night. Tell mom to give you a baby kong with some treats in it and it won't seem so bad.

Under the heading of "I can't believe I married that man" I have to admit, he believed them. I had one HELL of a time trying to convince him it was a scam. Actually, he probably ignored me and logged on some other place to "claim" his prize.

Just think of it as a group hug.

Well, I guess I missed out on a LOT when I was hibernating. I didn't know it was ever off! I'm glad it's on and I hope that still means we'll be getting together? Delaware is one of the few states I've never visited but I'd like to someday. Not this summer but maybe in a couple of years. I love New England and haven't been east in - wow - over 10 years! Way too long! Do you have fresh lobsters in Delaware?

I have had two surgeries on my vertebrae for herniated discs and so on. The first time, they went in from the front and I really had very little pain after the first week or so. The second time, they went in through my back and that was excruciating. They have to remove muscles and whatever else is attached and in the way to get at the spine. It hurt for months! I wonder if docs prefer going in from the front when they can - less work for them. Glad both of your fur-babies are doing well.

I'm so sorry! I know this is late but I also know you are still dealing with it and will be for some time. I hope they find out why she passed - she couldn't have been very old.

I have trouble remembering which day it is, too. In fact, I have to think about it several times a day sometimes. Every day seems to blend into the next one... I am not complaining though!

"Omit needless words!" was the favorite saying of one of my grad school profs. We used Strunk and White a lot and I was happy to find my old copy a couple of weeks ago.
Do you like to read dictionaries, too? I do.

Along the lines of Jondude's Ben Franklin quote, I recently read something that said something along the lines of this: Giving up one's freedom has never made anyone MORE secure." What they're doing is not only unconstitutional, it's illegal and immoral.
Okay, I'm done ranting on your blog. I wonder if the new "laws" will stand forever and only get more invasive over time. As has been pointed out many times, taxes have never been rolled back, even the "temporary" ones.

Ohhh, so sorry both your furbabies are sick right now. Huxley will be back to his old antics in no time. Give them lots of extra lovin' and you'll all feel better.
A friend of mine had the same surgery done on her Great Dane a few years ago and she was better than ever afterward.
My girl, Cassie, has very a flat affect too. However, I've always thought it was because she had been rescued from a home with 39 other dogs. I figured she had to be on guard all the time.

Speaking of Nascar, did you know that duplicate Bridge was an exhibition event at the 2004 Olympics? Soon to be a sport I suppose, although it would have to attract a younger group of players.
BTW, I disagree with your statement that Nascar isn't a sport, and I'm not even a fan. However, that's a discussion for another time and place.
